Mr. El Waly is managing four mutual funds for HC: Misr Iran Development Bank Fund 1, Banque Misr Fund 4 , National Bank of Egypt Fund 3, and Misr Al Mostakbal Investment Fund. He is responsible for setting the investment strategy and supervises its implementation within the Asset management department for all kinds of equity investments. Mr. El Waly long career in mutual funds management included working as investment manager for Cairo Capital Group (managed Export Development Bank funds), National Bank of Egypt (for nine years, managed two of the bank funds, held positions in NBE’s Securities Operation Dept. for three years then the Research Dept. for six years and supervised NBE’s mutual funds since establishment till Jan. 1997). Mr. El Waly has a Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting from Cairo University and holds a professional certificate in Investment Management from the American University in Cairo.
