Mahmoud Selim is the Head of Investment Banking at HC Securities & Investment. Prior to assuming his current role in 2012, Selim was appointed several positions in the Investment banking department.
Since joining HC in 2005, Mr. Selim participated in several high profile transactions which include Emirates NBD acquisition of BNP Paribas Le Caire, Housing and Development Bank secondary public offering, Ripplewood acquisition of 18% of Commercial International Bank (CIB), Tabouk Pharmaceuticals acquisition of Alpha Pharmaceuticals, Hikma Pharmaceuticals acquisition of the Egyptian Pharmaceutical and Chemicals Industries (EPCI), Minapharm Pharmaceuticals acquisition of ProBioGen AG, Minapharm Pharmaceuticals private placement to the Danish private equity BankInvest, Savola Group acquisition of El Maleka and El Farasha, The Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Egypt acquisition of Nile Beverages (Crush), Al Marai acquisition of Beyti, Fiancée sale to Marico, Marico acquisition of Hair Code, Middle East Glass private placement to Gulf Capital, Middle East Glass acquisition of Wadi Glass Containers and Middle East Glass acquisition of Medco Plast.
Mahmoud received his MBA from The American University in Cairo in 2005 and graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University in 1998.
